Acquiring the Greek Language Certificate

 

The Department of Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies is the venue for the annual Greek exams organized by the Greek Language Center. The exams usually take place in May, this year from May 19 to 21, 2026.

The exact dates and half-days can be found here. The specific times and venues will be announced by e-mail after the end of the registration period.

Registration is possible from February 1 to March 20 via the Greek Language Center's website. Once the examination fee has been credited to our departmental account, you will be admitted to the examination and will receive an examination number and an examination card by e-mail.

Please note that it may take a few days for payment to reach our account and your confirmation will therefore be delayed.

In order to avoid premature registrations, the exact account information and fees will be published from February 1st.

Once we have received your payment, you will be admitted to the examination and will receive an examination number and an examination card from us by email. Please bring these with you on the day of the examination.

The examinations will take place from 19 May to 21 May 2025 at the Institute for Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies, Postgasse 9, 1010 Vienna, on the 2nd floor. You will receive the room allocation and exact times in good time.

Die Prüfungen finden von 19.05. bis 21.05.2025 am Institut für Byzantinistik und Neogräzistik, Postgasse 9, 1010 Wien, im 2. Stock statt. Die Raumeinteilung und die genaue Uhrzeit erhalten Sie rechtzeitig.

Κατόπιν της καταβολής του ποσού, θα γίνετε δεκτοί στις εξετάσεις και θα λάβετε από εμάς, μέσω ηλεκτρονικού ταχυδρομείου (E-mail), έναν αριθμό εξέτασης και μια κάρτα εξέτασης. Παρακαλείστε να τα έχετε μαζί σας κατά την ημερομηνία εξέτασης.

Οι εξετάσεις θα πραγματοποιηθούν στο Τμήμα Βυζαντινών και Νεοελληνικών Σπουδών, Postgasse 9, 1010 Βιέννη, 2ος όροφος. Θα λάβετε έγκαιρα πληροφορίες για τους χώρους των εξετάσεων και την ακριβή ώρα.
